Autism and Workplace: My Observations

Autism is considered to be a lifelong condition.

Workplace are very challenging to a person with autism.

Autism traits are the ones that can complement and build the person with autism's character.

People with autism can be trained to endure the workplace. Waiting skills are needed in achieving certain outcomes.

Adults with autism employed by companies are rare. (Need sufficient data to back this out.)

Temple Grandin's Theory of Mind should be used in various corporate, government and religious institutions.

Autism always vary from case to case. Supports are varied.

People with autism need warm support acceptance, accommodation and appreciation.

People with autism in the Philippines should be paid the right way according to the scope of work given. This would be my advocacy in the future.

People with autism needs to explore ways of having alternative source of income.
